Stableford Capital’s founder Andrew Brinkman was among the participants Abby’s Champan Golf Invitational. In Oregon for an annual economic forum, where top macro economists discuss key market indicators, Andy also enjoyed the ability to play in the annual tournament.

The 41st Abby’s/Budweiser/Pepsi Invitational golf tournament kicked off at Saturday June 16th at Roseburg Country Club in Roseburg, Oregon. A total of 294 golfers — 147 two-player teams — were scheduled to compete. It’s the largest tournament of the year at RCC. The event attracts golfers from Arizona and California.

In a Chapman format, both golfers hit drives, then each plays the other’s ball for the second shots. The best of the second shots is selected, and from there the partners play alternate shots into the hole.  A lifelong golf player, Andy enjoyed the opportunity to compete over Father’s day weekend.
